Bold prints can be hard to handle if you’re not used to a daring dress code. If in doubt, stick to one item of printed clothing and keep the rest of your outfit clean and simple. Whether it’s a dress, trousers or a blouse, go as gaudy as you want and then tone the look down with block colours. To create a colour palette for your outfit, pick from the print; wear a top or shoes that match the key colour, which will only enhance the design.
Midi dresses are a great way to incorporate bold prints into your wardrobe and are simple to style. The print speaks for itself so accessorize with understated pieces. Carrying a clutch, or wearing shoes to match the colour of the print, always looks chic. If you’re brave enough to wear printed trousers, the most flattering cuts are either wide-legs or cigarette and harem styles, which taper at the ankle. Team with a simple blouse or vest and add a blazer in a neutral shade to smarten-up the look.
